Swatter Gang Hounded White Hat Phreaker
by Kevin Poulsen, blog.wired.comMarch 21st 2012
Following up on my post last week about a gang of "Swatters" the FBI is dismantling, white hat phone phreak Lucky225 (right) says he was stalked relentless by the group, forcing him into a cat-and-mouse game.
As a victim in this particular case I can tell you these "Swat" calls were not funny. I was forced to move into an apartment with all utilities paid for by the landlord and have all of my mail sent to General Delivery. I had to pay a $90 deposit to set up phone services at an old address for another family member that used call forwarding to go to my voip DID which I rerouted back to the family member’s actual phone line — to keep Stuart thinking this family member was still at an old address — and set up her actual services in a fictitious name on a separate account.
I will admit the minor in this case, who is AKA little hacker, can be a good kid and was mostly persuaded by these idiots as they took advantage of his young-mindset, however he is still responsible for his own actions, but he is a good kid at heart. After these idiots couldn’t find me because I didn’t have any utilities what so ever at my physical address and no mail going to my actual address, they persuaded one family member by threats to tell where I work, I was then fired, then my parents were swatted because they still couldn’t find where I live. These people have no skills, but they can make your life hell.
