Donald Trump in Palm Beach: Air Force One draws onlookers

Air Force One draws crowd for photos during Trump visit

It's not every day you get to see Air Force One, the president's own plane, parked at Palm Beach International Airport.

But it's a sight Palm Beach County residents could grow accustomed to — and some seemed to enjoy Saturday night.

President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump are spending the weekend at their Mar-a-Lago Club in Palm Beach, with Air Force One parked nearby until Trump leaves Monday morning.

A few dozen people posed for photos with Air Force One in the background Saturday night, as Trump prepared to attend the 60th annual Red Cross Ball at Mar-a-Lago, and protesters made their way south from downtown West Palm Beach to rally across the Intracoastal from the club.

Traffic occasionally was slowed along Southern Boulevard south of the airport, as those driving by slowed to get a good look at the plane.

Want to take a look at Air Force One before it leaves? Palm Beach County Director Airports said earlier this week that you can't miss it.

"It's a 747," Pelly said. "You can pretty well see it from almost anywhere at the airport."
