Anonymous Trolls ISIS with Prozac and Viagra Ad
The Anonymous-ISIS war seems to be a one-sided affair, with Anonymous doing all the damage while ISIS is running scared and hiding in the Internet's darkest corners just so it can escape the onslaught of attacks it's been under in the past ten days.
While Anonymous made it a mission to hunt and take down ISIS social media accounts, and especially Twitter accounts, one of ISIS' favorite social networks, the group has been also busy finding and sabotaging their websites.
ISIS is running scared, hiding in the darkest corners of the Internet
ISIS members saw the storm coming, and just days after their Paris attacks and after Anonymous had declared war on them, they announced they would be moving their operations to the Dark Web, via .onion-hosted websites.
This didn't help them much, and the terrorists saw their main operations forum taken down by Anonymous this past weekend.
The attacks continued, and now IBTimes is reporting that GhostSec (Ghost Security Group), one of the many Anonymous groups, has compromised the Isdarat website and left a short message behind, along with an ad for an online pharmaceutics company. This website is known for selling Viagra and Prozac, and also for its Bitcoin payment option, one of the first sites to do so.
The Bitcoin mention is important because, in previous research, GhostSec also found out that ISIS members had Bitcoin wallets that contained about $3 million / €2.83 million in funds.
GhostSec: Chill out, ISIS, get some meds!
The message shown above the pharmaceutics ads reads, "Too Much ISIS. Enhance your calm. Too many people are into this ISIS-stuff. Please gaze upon this lovely ad so we can upgrade our infrastructure to give you ISIS content you all so desperately crave."
The message is basically: Take a chill pill, ISIS!
